“My goal is not to be better than anyone else, but to be better than I used to be.”
I found this scribbled on a crumpled sticky note while packing up my desk yesterday. Just a simple sentence — but it made me pause.
(Okay, maybe more than just pause… it sent me into full reflection mode. 😅)
In a world that constantly feels like a race — career milestones, parenting pressures, self-improvement checklists — it’s easy to slip into comparison mode.
But this note pulled me back to something deeper and quieter:
We don’t need to win.
We just need to grow.
Not faster. Not bigger. Just… forward.
Who Am I Becoming?
That’s the question that really matters.
Am I a little kinder today?
A little more present?
A little more myself?
In my coaching work, this mindset shift is powerful. It’s not about chasing more.
It’s about aligning more closely with who you really are.
And sometimes, that growth looks like:
💬 Having a conversation you’ve been avoiding
✅ Saying no when it matters
🌱 Taking 10 quiet minutes to breathe between meetings
Small, maybe. But significant.
Growth Isn’t Loud — But It Is Transformational
It’s rarely dramatic.
It doesn’t always come with applause.
But it builds — day by day, choice by choice.
Whether you’re working through a challenge, rethinking your career, or simply trying to navigate life a bit more intentionally, the goal isn’t perfection.
It’s progress.
And it often starts with a small reminder — like this one.
So today, let’s stop measuring ourselves against others.
Let’s ask instead: Am I better than yesterday’s me?
And if the answer is yes — even a little — that’s worth celebrating.
If you’re ready to shift the way you grow, or need a space to reconnect with your own direction, I’m here.
